Synopsis:

The proliferation of hydroelectric dams on the Mekong River, designed to supply energy to nearby megacities, is forcing Samnang, the leader of an Indigenous community, to fight for his own survival and that of nature. Meanwhile, in the Cambodian capital, Sothy, a painter and survivor of the genocide perpetrated by the Khmer Rouge regime, is devoted to the duty of remembrance and, through his art, reveals a violence that seems to be repeating itself.
